Installing the Oxygen Sensor

For engines not already equipped with an oxygen sensor, a threaded adapter must be welded into the exhaust system in a location where the sensor can monitor all exhaust [prts. The oxygen sensor must be located upstream, and as close to the exhaust ports as possible. Make certain that the sensor feed wire does not become burnt by the exhaust temperature. Stainless line shielded wire can be used for this purpose.
